A government body tasked with ensuring that Singapore gambling law is upheld and that casinos operate in a fair and legal manner.
The Casino Regulatory Authority is a statutory board, established in April 2008, under the Ministry of Home Affairs. Its function is to administer and enforce the Casino Control Act. Other objectives include:
Working to ensure that the management and operation of casinos remain free from criminal influence and exploitation.
Ensuring that casino gaming is conducted honestly.
Containing and controlling the potential of casinos to cause harm to minors, vulnerable persons and society at large.
